If a problem has persisted for a long time, previous help hasn't brought the expected results, relapses keep occurring, or it's hard to know which specialist to turn to — I conduct an independent assessment of the situation and help determine the next strategy, involving relevant medical specialists when necessary.
I approach each person not as a set of isolated symptoms, but within the context of their entire life situation.

A psychological issue can't always be resolved solely in a psychologist's office. When there are grounds for it, I recommend a consultation with a physician or another relevant specialist, and in complex cases I coordinate care with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and neurologists — not to replace medical care with psychological support, but to build the most effective path forward.
